Easy Moscow Mule Drink Recipe

It’s refreshing, delicious and easy to make! Copper mug optional, but I went for it. Get the kind that you don’t have to polish, because no.

Friday is almost upon us, so I feel I owe you a cocktail recipe. It's been two weeks since the Grapefruit Margarita recipe, and if you've not tried it, you're missing out!

My son Derek made me my first Moscow Mule in February of this year, and while I had heard of them, I had never tried one. They are pretty great! Light and fizzy with just enough ginger and lime. You don't NEED a copper mug, but I'm swanky and like stuff like that.

Makes one cocktail

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 - 2 oz. vodka
  • juice of one lime
  • ginger beer, preferably Cock 'N Bull
  • ice
  • lime for garnish

Rules of cocktail making: 1. Have the proper glassware 2. Use the best ingredients you can find. 3. Garnish is key. 4. Enjoy in moderation with someone you care about!

First, I put 2 oz. of Tito's Vodka in a cocktail shaker with ice, and added the fresh squeezed juice of one lime. Shakey shakey! Then pour into a copper mug or a cocktail-sized glass, and top off with ginger beer, the kind with alcohol content. Or not. Garnish with a lime slice, mabye some mint and a light grating of fresh ginger, and that is that! Light, fizzy and fresh! Try one this weekend, let me know how you like it, and thanks for following.
