Bouquet from Birch Creek Flowers in Peterborough, NH

The folks at Birch Creek Flowers in Peterborough, NH call this arrangement “Summer Sizzle” and I can see why! I fell in love with it immediately and took it home.

While shopping at Nature's Green Grocer in Peterborough, NH yesterday, I came across a large bucket of beautiful bouquets by Birch Creek Flowers, also located in town. I love flowers but have never heard of Birch Creek, so this is a revelation! I can't find a web site but I do find a Facebook page and tell them how much I love my arrangement! Should have bought two and put them in a bigger vase. Oh well, next time. There are roses, gerbera daisies, some stock, and a bunch of stuff that I recognize but don't know the names of any more. I don't spend as much time in the nurseries as I used to, so my flower identification game is off. Gotta find these people and pay them a visit! Will be sure to bring you all along.

I also picked up these sunflowers at the grocery store and put them in a simple glass pitcher. Sunflowers make me happy, but one does need to change the water every day, and when the stalks get saturated and soft, please discard them. The smell they create can only be described as "significantly unpleasant".
